FROM THE HOUSTON COMMITTEE FOR PEOPLE'S RADIO
We call on the Committee to seat Mr. Renteria so that our views may be represented in this crisis. It is a crisis that is national in scope. The future of the entire Pacifica network, including that of KPFT, is in the balance.
We also call upon the Committee to seat representatives of the listener groups Save Our Station in New York City and the Pacifica Accountibility Committee in Los Angeles in order to fully democratize and nationalize our effort to free the Pacifica Foundation.
Sincerely,
Edwin Johnston

NEW YORK RALLY
Please post or call others you know and let them know! Save Our Station is hosting a demonstration in solidarity with KPFA's nightmare and in protest to the discussion of the sale of WBAI as recommended in the email by Micheal Palmer to Mary Frances Berry.
The demonstration will be on Friday July 23, 1999 at 5:30 - 7:00 at 120 wall street in front of WBAI. Yes, this is ANOTHER demonstration; there was one last week, on July 16. All producers, listeners, subscribers and staff are urged to attend. Come out. It's our station.

LOS ANGELES PANEL
Join us for an afternoon panel discussion on the current crisis confronting Pacifica, KPFA and the future of free speech radio in America. Get informed about why Pacifica's National Board has eliminated local representation, why Larry Bensky is no longer heard on Pacifica, why programming on KPFK is becoming increasingly mainstream, why you hear an abundance of packaged programming on KPFK, why hundreds are demonstrating in Berkeley and being arrested by Pacifica management. AND Why you don't hear about any of this on KPFK.
Scheduled panelists include long-time Pacifica programmers Larry Bensky, Dennis Bernstein, Roy Tuckman and former Pacifica president (a position that no longer exists) Peter Franck plus a special message from Dr. Helen Caldicott
